LM002 Nadsroic & Hudson Mohawke - Room Mist EP 12" Vinyl- We all kinda loved Ciorsdan Brown when she lived in Glasgow. She was our first lady. She would come to our shows looking perfect and then hang out at the after parties with Heather Mini Chillin. Then it got back to us that one time she had broken out a Celtic fiddle and played along to one of the old Surface Emp ( Hud Mo & Dom Sum ) songs. A couple years later and she had been working with Hud Mo on a couple fun tracks for no more reason than we were all friends. As the record came together all these new influences started creeping out of the production of Hudson Mohawke and Ciorsdan Brown. 80's synth soul, rnb and boogie were emerging in the melodies - but then you had these club tracks which had heavy southern sensibilty. Mann, when we heard Room Mist we knew that to put out the Nadsroic record as our first EP proper on the LuckyMe label would really establish that we love a blend of genres. We love club records. We love RnB. We are weird. But we love pop music. Pitchfork caught onto us. Fader caught onto us. She topped Ghostface in the URB download chart. She caught iTunes recommendeds in both Hip Hop and Electronic sections in Japan, US & EU. She recorded a speical mixtape for Mary Anne Hobbs' X Chromosone Special, Oh, and she even got published in the Japanese myspace mag, Dazed & The Scotsman. Who'd of thought this happy-go-lucky rapper would of got so big on her first recorded songs. Now on it's second press you can buy the original remaining copies of our first press of our first record, Nadsroic's Room Mist, here, now. -
